COMPOSITION

KAPEVAC® contains the Jansen strain of the virus causing Duck Plague propagated in cell culture, in live, attenuated, freeze-dried form.

PROPERTIES

KAPEVAC® provides high level of specific immunity in breeding flocks against Duck Plague.

INDICATIONS

For the active immunisation of water fowl (duck, goose, swan) against Duck Plague. KAPEVAC® is recommended for use in flocks in which Duck Plague has been determined or which are exposed to the risk of duck plague outbreaks or introduction of the causative virus.

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE

Inject subcutaneously 1ml of the reconstituted vaccine under the skin of the neck.

Breeding flocks: First vaccination approximately one month before the onset of laying period. Booster vaccination 2-3 weeks after the first one.

Affected flocks: all birds from two weeks old should be vaccinated twice, at an interval of two to three weeks.

Broilers: a single vaccination is sufficient on birds older than twoo weeks.

- Store vaccine between +2°C and +8°C or 35°F and 45°F
