Live freeze-dried vaccine, Massachusetts B48 and Hitchner B1 strains for the active immunization of chickens against Newcaste Disease and Infectious Bronchitis.
COMPOSITION
CEVAC® BI L contains the Massachusetts B48 strain of Infectious Bronchitis virus and the Hitchner B1 strain of Newcastle Disease virus in live, freeze dried form. The embryonated hen eggs used in the production of the vaccine are obtained from specified-pathogen-free (SPF) flocks.
INDICATIONS
For the active immunisation of healthy chickens against Infectious Bronchitis and Newcastle Disease.
The vaccine may be used for initial or re-vaccination of broilers, pullets and hens.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Primary vaccination should be carried-out with CEVAC® BI L by eye-drop or spray method, as from one day of age.
Booster vaccination is recommended three to four weeks later by spray or drinking water administration.
For pullets, a second booster is recommended at 10 to 12 weeks of age.
SIDE EFFECT
Rarely, catarrhal respiratory symptoms may occur on day 4 to 6 following vaccination but disappear in a few days.

WARNING
Newcastle Disease virus may cause a mild inflammation of the eye in humans which lasts for two or three days. Care should therefore be taken when handling the virus to avoid contact with the eyes.
